Budyong Beach Resort, Sta. Fe, Bantayan Island,CEBU
No matter how money has been very tight to us these days, we still found time to squeeze in a plan to go for another summer adventure. After all the researches and the bookings for the accommodations that my sister and friend did, we finally got to the place they called island paradise in Bantayan Island. From the North Bus terminal we took the Ceres bus that will take us to Hagnaya. It was really fun to travel with friends ” nga di boring “. In other words…. that almost five hours travel that we did….was totally worth it. Though the ride on the ferry experienced was a bit funny because we really have no idea how it is like…til we got there and found out that it was a huge roro type. No 1st class or 2nd class seats here….. everyone has to sit down first-come-first-served on plastic benches arranged on the deck. Since we were the one who arrived last..we were not able to sit comfortably as we expected.

After that exciting long trip ….Bantayan to us on a first glance was a blast. We took a cab from the port to Budyong Resort. This is actually the one my sister saw in the internet that his highly recommended for those who wanted to have a more relaxing beach to stay in… with it’s heavenly sandbar which really shows that this resort really offers one of the best beach front (that sometimes Kota visitors claim that it’s part of Kota’s resort, though it’s not). Aside from it has one of the cheapest accommodation rates and very accessible to the market it’s like Bora without the crowd. After unpacking we went straight to the beach for a look-see and it was’nt a disappointment at all. It was absolutely one of Cebu’s finest.

I would really say that Bantayan is one of the few beaches that I really love to visit again. Though the beach maybe perfect but it would have been great if the staff were a little more attentive and responsive. ( I actually lost my wallet there and It’s just too sad they did nothing to be of help.) Not to mention the lot of sea weeds floating of the shore , but still we really had tons of fun and really enjoyed swimming with the powdery white sand. Budyong might be fairly simple but the beach scenario….It was Absolutely GREAT!

Hi chin,
Nice post about Bantayan Island, Budyong Resort and the beautiful Beach that both Budyong & Kota Beach resort share.
That stretch of Beach actually proceeds due West from the Pier area, past Tristan’s Resort, Marlin Beach Resort, Kota Beach & Budyong Resorts, and runs into Sugar Beach Resort where the beach is now at its longest & straightest stretch, and that Beach ends right beside Ogtong Cave Resort.
I shoot most of my Sunset photography this year from that stretch of Beach at either Kota &/or Budyong, which provides a really beautiful view of the Western Sky.
Regards,
PJAMES
